Robert K. Cleere

Robert K. Cleere, LEEP AP BD+C is BEC’s Senior Project Manager and directs BEC’s building envelope testing operations. He is a certified LEED Accredited Professional and a Certified Infrared Thermographer, Level II. At BEC, his main responsibilities are managing and training our team of testing technicians to perform functional performance tests to demonstrate the actual performance of building systems, including but not limited to, air/weather barriers, window/wall assemblies, below-grade waterproofing and roof systems. Some of the functional performance tests Robby specializes in are high-voltage electronic leak detection (ELD), infrared surveys (IR), whole building pressurization testing (blower door), membrane smoke testing and multiple ASTM and AAMA standard test methods for the building envelope. He also conducts property condition assessments, forensic investigation and destructive testing of existing structures, and quality assurance inspections for new construction.

Before joining the BEC team, Robby began his career working with residential and military contractors as an energy efficiency consultant, completing quality assurance inspections and performance testing of the building envelope and HVAC systems to create homes that maximize energy efficiency, meet the requirements of the ENERGY STAR for new homes program, and comply with local building code requirements. Robby also spent time working as an Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) consultant, assessing the air quality/energy efficiency in existing homes and commercial work spaces while providing and implementing scopes of work to improve discovered issues. He also maintains BPI – Building Analyst Professional certifications and is certified in mold inspections and remediations.
